Meet Lolita. She’s a little unusual, a little skeletal, even. Certainly not your grandmother’s cameo!
Besides sewing, there’s also been some beading going on. I found some very unusual cameos, and have been having a great time developing new designs.
Lolita is a brooch, or she could be a necklace focal. Envision her pinned to a piece of black velvet ribbon, worn as a choker. She could be Goth, or Vampirically Romantic. The choice is up to you!
This brooch is constructed with a seed bead peyote bezel , then cinched in using size 15° delicas. A circle of crystals around the edge compliments the matte finish of the cameo, giving a nice play on texture. A pin and suede backing complete the piece.
