Another in the triangle series. I finished this bracelet last night. Variegated red and peach triangles with some lively crystals in between. I think it will be just the thing for the upcoming holidays!
I was also rather surprised at how easy it went together. No instructions this time around. My very own idea to see if I could intersperse the crystals without treating the triangles like beaded beads, and stringing all the pieces onto a cord. Lo and Behold it worked! I was surprised that it even worked the first try as I expected to have a couple of false starts.
These are size 10 delica beads. Delicas are cylinder beads – think of a long narrow glass tube, cut into chunks. The walls are uniform, compared to regular round or rocaille beads, which have a thicker wall in the center. The cool thing about delicas is that in this type of work, they snap together like little building blocks. Click!
Jewelry made with delicas also tends to be a bit stiffer and more defined, which is a good thing for this project.
