Whilst cleaning out the Cauldron of Creativity, I stumbled on some glass cabochons and washi paper. The kind of paper that’s used for origami. I thought mixing them together might be fun. Of course, beads had to be included!
The photo at left is the result. The little seed beads match the orange in the bunny’s ears perfectly. It’s no surprise that a kitty had to be included.
These are beaded bezels, with the glass face and paper being permanently affixed to each other underneath it all. No separation likely here!
I had a tough time deciding how to do the bails. Just adding jump rings or a commercially made metal bail didn’t look right; that took away from the beads. In the end, a beaded bezel did the trick.
There are options with these, too. The wearer can use their own necklace – maybe something else that’s beaded, a satin ribbon, or a cord can be provided. I see these as a Pick-Your-Pendant / Pick-Your-Necklace offering. The combinations are endless!
