Lepidoptera

Standard

img_4263With cold weather right around the corner, the butterflies have all left for warmer climes.

Except this bright green beauty!

I opted to spend time on the bezel, rather than become too enmeshed with the necklace itself.  That’s the aged copper chain the butterfly flits from.

The butterfly is paper collage under a glass cabochon, beaded ’round with seed beads and bugles, then finished with a tortoise shell druk.  I have no idea where I got the druks, but their color – a swirl of black and brown, sure comes in handy!
